There is limited housing stock in Ashcombe. The population is around 60 people. The Estate has several residential properties let to long term tenants. Many of our tenants work or have retired from working within the Estate. Occasionally a property becomes available to rent. These houses can often have had the same tenants for decades on affordable rent.
The Estate policy is to completely refurbish the property before re-letting to new tenants. We prefer to rent to people who work on the Estate or have a link to it.
Some recent barn conversions have helped to slightly increase the available housing stock in Ashcombe. These ongoing projects provide high-standard, ecologically efficient housing for new residents.
